A. DATE AND PLACE

The 6thSichuan International Emei Wushu Festival of China will be held from October 27thto 31st, 2018 in Emeishan, Sichuan, China.

§Traditional Events

Traditional Quan Events

Taijiquan Type Events: Chen Style, Yang Style, Wu Style, Wuu Style, Sun Style, other traditional Taijiquan routines.(Please fill in the name of the specific routines in the event registration form.)

Nan( Southern ) quan type Events: Wing Chun Kune (Yongchun Quan), Ngo Cho Kune (Wuzu Quan), Choy Lay Fut Kune (Cailifo Quan), FuHokSeungYing(Tiger and Crane double shape), Dishu Quan, other southern styles.(Please fill in the name of the specific Routines in the event registration form.)

Other Style Events: Xingyi Quan, Bagua Zhang, Baji Quan, Tongbei Quan, Pigua Quan (Zhang), Fanzi Quan, Ditang Quan, Imitation Styles, Cha Quan, Hua Quan, Pao Chui, Hong Quan, Huaa Quan, Shaolin Quan, Wudang Quan, Emei Quan, and other types of traditional styles.

Traditional Weapon Routine Events

Single Weapon Routines: Dao (Broadsword), Jian (Straight Sword), Gun (Cudgel/Staff), Qiang (Spear), Pudao/Dadao(Pu/Da Broadsword), Fan, Dagger, Bian Gun (Short Cudgel), Cane, Baton, Crutch (Chinese Tonfa), Spade, Fork, Taiji Jian (Including 42 Posture Taiji Jian/ Sword), Taiji Dao(Taiji Broadsword), Taiji Qiang(Taiji Spear), Nan Dao (Southern Broadsword), Nan Gun (Southern Staff/Cudgel), other traditional single weapon routines.

Double Weapon Routines: Shuang Dao (Double Broadsword), Shuang Jian (Double Straight Sword/ Double Long Tassel Straight Sword), Shuang Gou (Double Tiger Hooks), Double Daggers, Shuang Yue (Bagua Double Deer Horn Knives), other Traditional Double Weapon Routines.

Flexible/Soft Weapon Routines: Jiu Jie Bian (Nine Section Whip Chain), Nunchakus,San Jie Gun (Three Section Staff), Meteor Hammer, Rope Dart, other traditional flexible/soft weapon routines.

G.PARTICIPATION METHODS

1. The number of participating teams is unlimited.Each team may register one team leader, one coach, one team doctor, several team followers and the number of athletes permitted is not limited.

2. Each athlete may, at most, register to participate in one individual bare hand routine, one individual weapon routine, and after which, each athlete can also register duilian (choreographed sparring routine)and group routine.

3. Each team may, at most ,register one duilian (choreographed sparring) routine, comprising of two or three persons (male and female athletes may be mixed and no classification of age group).

4. Each team may ,at most ,register one group routine. Each group may not comprise of less than six performers. It’s cannot be arranged when less than 6 persons (male and female athletes may be mixed and no classification of age group).

5. Merging according to similar age in same events when the numbers of the applicants based on per event、group、gender is five persons or less than five persons. If merged numbers based on this method still is less than five persons, merging according to similar age in different events,respective admission based on different gender.

H.COMPETITION METHODS

1. The competition rules applied will conform to the latest edition of “Rules for Traditional Wushu TaoluCompetition” of the Chinese Wushu Association.

2. Event Time Limits

· Traditional bare hand routines and traditional weapon routines may not exceed two minutes in total. (This excludes taiji type events).

· Optional and compulsory events of quan and weapon may not less than two minutes .

· Taijiquan routines may not exceed four minutes in total. (During a performance, the Head Judge will signal the 3 minute mark by blowing a whistle.)

· Taiji weapon routines may not exceed three minutes in total. (During a performance, the Head Judge will signal the 2 minute mark by blowing a whistle.

· Duilian routine duration may not be shorter than forty seconds in total. Duilian routine duration of Taiji quan may not be shorter than three minutes

· The compulsory events must be rehearsed in accordance with the prescribed routines, not to add or subtract, or to change the movements. The unfinished routine after the long whistle from the Head Judge will not be deducted.

· Group routine performances may not exceed four minutes in total. Accompanying music is required for group routines, which must be provided by the performers themselves on CD. Accompanying music may not include vocals of any form. Should accompanying music include vocals, or should no accompanying music be provided, the head judge will deduct 0.1 points.

3. Age Categories for Individual Events

·  Children(Group A): 12 years of age and below (born on or after January 1st, 2007)

·  Junior(Group B): From 12 to 17 years of age (born between January 1st, 2001 and December 31st, 2004)

·  Youth(Group C): From 18 to 39 years of age (born between January 1st, 1979 and December 31st 2000)

·  Middle-age(Group D): From 40 to 59 years of age (born between January 1st 1959 and December 31st 1978)

·  Old-age(Group E): 60 years of age and above (born on or before December 31st 1958)

I.PLACING & AWARDS

1. In general, each individual event within each age group (for male and famale) will be awarded as follows:

1st Category Prize = 10% of the participants will be awarded .

2nd Category prize = 20% of the participants will be awarded.

3rd Category Prize = 30% of the participants will be awarded 

1st to 3rd category prize recipients will receive a medal and certificate. The awarding ratios will be based on the actual number of participants in an event and a rounding method will be implemented.

2. Duilian events will be separated into 2 persons and 3 persons performances, bare hand, and weapon performances. The same ratios as stated above will be applied.

3. Group routines will be separated into bare hand group routines and weapon group routines (group routines mixing bare hand and weapons will be categorized as weapon routines) and will be awarded as follows:

1st Category Prize = 20% of the participants will be awarded

2nd Category prize = 30% of the participants will be awarded.

3rd Category Prize = 30% of the participants will be awarded.

1st to 3rd category prize recipients will receive a plaque and certificate. The awarding ratios will be     

based on the actual number of participants in an event and a rounding method will be implemented.

4. One team leader, one coach, one team doctor and the athletes of Each team could enjoy half-price discount of Mount emei scenic spot ticket.

5. Setting up the team "Sportsmanship Award",player,coach,referee,evaluation in terms of etiquette、popularity、events、results、performance and others,details as evaluation rules. Plaque and certificate as a reward for the winners including teams and individual.

 Two one-inch, bareheaded identification photoof each participants

One copy of the ID Card of each participants

Completed and signed original waiver of liabilities of Each participants

Athlete's personal accident insurance policy and health certificate

·   Name of the team must within five Chinese characters , or the Organizing Committee have the right to cut it.

2.REGISTRATION

· All participating teams are required to arrive at the designated registration booth and register with the Organizing Committee in Emeishan, Sichuan, China before October 27th, 2018.

· Please inform the organizing committee by fax or email of the specific date ,flight or train number and the number of persons before September 20th, 2018 for  the preparation of our reception

·Information about transportation to Emeishan:

By Train: The cities of Xi’an, Chengdu, Kunming etc. have train routes that travel to Emeishan. The organizing committee will have a reception booth at the Emeishan Train Station.

By Airplane (to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport): The cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao etc. have direct flight routes that fly to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. The organizing committee will have a reception booth at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. Upon arrival, volunteers will assist teams to go to the Chengdu High Speed Rail Station and to purchase tickets to board the train to Emeishan Station, where there will be another reception booth. The high speed rail tickets costs must be covered by the participants themselves when purchasing these tickets.       

By bus:You can take the bus to Emeishan at Xinnanmen Bus Station of Chengdu.The organizing committee will have a reception booth at EmeishanBus Station。

K.FINANCIAL CONDITIONS

1. The expenses shall be borne by the teams themselves. Participating teams are required toremit the fees to the specifiedaccount  of the organizing committeesimultaneously before September 20th, 2018.
2.Participation fees include meals, accommodation, local pick-up/drop-off and local transportation, as well as the competition participation & related activities etc.Early departure or late check-in will not refund.

N.OTHER MATTERS                       

1.All team leaders and coaches are requested to attend the Organizing Committee and technical meeting is on the 28thof October, 2018 at 09:30. The location for this meeting will be informed in  further notice.

2.All athletes are requested to obtain Life Accidental Injury Insurance for the duration of the event.

3.Following arrival, the organizing committee’s medical supervisor has the right to check the athlete’s physical health condition and should it be deemed that an athlete is not healthy or fit to compete, his or her participation eligibility will be canceled.

4.All athletes are required to attend the initial roll call thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of their competition event, and be present for all subsequent roll calls. Roll call once every 10 minutes,and failure to be present for 3 roll calls will result in forfeit.

5.Anyone who abstention from competition without cause or reason,all the competition results of his or her will be canceled .

6.Competitors shall wear traditional wushu competition costumes and shoes during all events. All competition costumes, shoes and weaponry must be provided by the competitors themselves.

7.Following arrival, all teams are requested to carefully check the competition event draw and order lists. Should there be any objections regarding the competition events, participant names, the participant in question or the designated team leader must complete and submit the signed relevant correction form to the Competition Division of organizing committee and leave the contract person and telephone number before 09:30 on the 28thof October 2018. The Chief Scheduler/Recorder will check the original submitted registration and should there be a discrepancy between the two, the information will be amended. Should there be no discrepancy, no amendment will be made.

8.Should, in special circumstances, an athlete’s registered event require changing, the designated team leader or coach must complete and submit the signed relevant correction form with contract number to the organizing committee before 09:30 on the 28thof October 2018. Following confirmation of amendment, a fee of 200 CNY(Chinese Yuan) must be paid for each change.
